Curious to hear thoughts generally on how potential tariffs can encourage these clothiers to move operations back stateside. We all reminisce “vintage” RL, Filson, and LL Bean products that were made in USA — can we ever go back to this?
I can't imagine tariffs will work in the way you might think. It would be easier for brands to just move the production to Vietnam or Sri Lanka or Indonesia than to North Carolina or California. Clothing manufacturing is never coming back to America — sorry to say.
